1
Matt Forte
Chicago Bears
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 CHI 5 1094 1 340 177.40
2013 CHI 9 1341 3 592 263.30
Projected! CHI 10.36 1546.85 1.99 528.60 277.50
All signs point to a major break out season. The Bears offense will sit comfortably amongst the top scoring squads. Forte will be the cog in the middle that makes it run. He averaged 5 YPC & 20+ carries in 4 of his last 5 games in 2013.
2
LeSean McCoy
Philadelphia Eagles
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 PHI 2 840 3 373 147.30
2013 PHI 9 1607 2 539 279.60
Projected! PHI 11.37 1389.54 2.84 507.79 271.56
McCoy finished the season on fire - going over 200 rushing yards in one contest and topping 130 yards in two others. McCoy is a fantasy stud - capable of leading the league in scoring.
3
Jamaal Charles
Kansas City Chiefs
Jamaal Charles
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 KC 5 1509 1 236 205.50
2013 KC 12 1287 7 693 308.00
Projected! KC 7.82 1326.66 4.24 557.89 257.63
Charles is in the conversation for the #1 overall selection in most fantasy drafts. He is a strong fit in Andy Reid's system and is Alex Smith's favorite check down target. He is a fantasy stud capable of a huge game in any week.
4
Arian Foster
Houston Texans
Arian Foster
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 HOU 15 1424 2 217 263.10
2013 HOU 1 542 1 183 84.50
Projected! HOU 8.30 1245.60 3.70 478.02 240.98
Foster is a stud when healthy. O'Brien's offense will feature him in the passing and rushing attack. Health will be Foster's bugbear. He has carried a heavy load so far in a short career. If rested, he should have a few quality years remaining.
5
Le'Veon Bell
Pittsburgh Steelers
Le'Veon Bell
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2013 PIT 8 860 0 399 172.90
Projected! PIT 9.01 1057.13 2.21 491.04 222.16
Bell brings low end RB1 value to the table. He surprised many in his rookie season by reeling in 45 receptions. Look for growth in his numbers in 2014. He has the ability to be a true feature RB.
6
Eddie Lacy
Green Bay Packers
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2013 GB 11 1178 0 257 208.50
Projected! GB 12.12 1256.95 0.00 273.64 225.75
Lacy was expected to be a hammer for the Packers - and did an amazing job. For fantasy owners, he also contributed 2+ catches per game which gave him PPR appeal. He is an RB1.
7
DeMarco Murray
Dallas Cowboys
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 DAL 4 663 0 251 112.40
2013 DAL 9 1124 1 350 204.40
Projected! DAL 7.36 1212.47 1.13 382.89 207.49
Murray enjoyed something of a breakout season in 2013. He finished with 9 TDs and broke the 1,000 yard barrier for the first time in his career. He represents strong RB2 value and RB1 in deeper formats.
8
Marshawn Lynch
Seattle Seahawks
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 SEA 11 1590 1 196 245.60
2013 SEA 12 1257 2 316 237.30
Projected! SEA 10.94 1148.45 1.58 271.39 214.02
Lynch is a volume back. He has had two straight seasons of 300 carries or more. He is a safe bet for double digit touchdowns as well - having accomplished that feat in three straight years. SEA will look to lighten his load a bit to keep him fresh.
9
Giovani Bernard
Cincinnati Bengals
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2013 CIN 5 695 3 514 167.90
Projected! CIN 6.54 891.95 2.80 514.08 196.66
Giovani Bernard was billed as a "Ray Rice Clone" coming out of college. He has done nothing to disappoint. He is active in the passing game which gives him great PPR value. He should see 13 to 15 hand offs per game which will increase his rushing total
10
Shane Vereen
New England Patriots
Shane Vereen
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 NE 3 251 1 149 63.00
2013 NE 1 208 3 427 86.50
Projected! NE 4.97 733.61 5.04 619.68 193.11
The Patriots passing attack can turn a pass catching RB into a fantasy stud quickly. Much is expected in Boston from Vereen. He has excellent hands and flexes out as a receiving option frequently. Expect RB2 numbers with RB1 upside.
11
Adrian Peterson
Minnesota Vikings
Adrian Peterson
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 MIN 12 2097 1 217 305.40
2013 MIN 10 1266 1 171 204.70
Projected! MIN 10.23 1299.67 0.80 154.58 208.78
Adrian Peterson is an All-World talent - but his opportunities will be weakened by a subpar offense...plain and simple. Peterson can not be asked to carry the mail 300 times again this season.
12
Doug Martin
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Year Team Rushing TDs Rushing Yards Receiving TDs Receiving Yards Scoring
2012 TB 11 1454 1 472 263.60
2013 TB 1 456 0 66 56.20
Projected! TB 8.85 1224.42 0.36 300.24 204.42
Doug Martin is the forgotten man in many fantasy draft rooms. He is just a year removed from being a Top 5 selection in most formats. He is healthy and ready for the season. The new coaching staff will rotate RBs but there is plenty of value here.
